Анотація: In the article, the concept for creation of intelligent decision support systems in navigation is considered. The com- parative analysis of the current theoretical approaches to the creation of the intelligent systems of ship movement control is made and peculiarities of the process of the deck officer’s decision are defined. The basic principles for building and functioning of the intelligent decision support systems in navigation are given.
