Abstract: The problems of computer modelling of application domains (AD) and systems are analyzed in the paper. Properties and stages of cognition of AD and systems are considered, the way of transition of AD into a class of systems is formulated. The method is based on use of the metamodels, which structurize properties of AD and allow to solve the tasks of AD.
