Abstract: The basic elements of human intellectual visual perception and importance of selectivity for this purpose are considered. The analysis of methods of intellectual perception on the base of fovea sensors with radial and hierarchical structures of receptor field is carried out. The new approach to intelligent selective perception is offered. It is based on a coarse-to-fine method of searching and provides facilities to operate parameters of reading information from videosensors. The information aspects of selectivity and examples of their applications are considered.
