Abstract: A new approach to automated data retrieval for electronic atlases of sustainable development of regions is presented. It is based on the Data Mining methods and allows to find relevant data in the Internet using reference Web-documents. The technology of agent-oriented interfaces designing for GIS is created. It is based on multi-agent systems application and allows automated filling and updating databases of electronic geoinformation atlases.

Keywords: geoinformation systems and technologies, electronic atlas, Web Mining, multiagent system
