Abstract: This article examines the methods of recognizing gestures of the deaf people, based on the analysis of external signs of gesture and analysis of the three-dimensional model of a hand. The gesture recognition algorithm proposed by us consists of four stages: system training, setting a specific set of gestures and corresponding commands; transformation of the original image into the initial representation (mathematical transformations, the calculation of the principal components); localization and segmentation of hand areas in the image based on key characteristics; classification mechanism (simulation)
