Vibration of a piezoelectric ring plate with azimuthal cuttings of electrodes

Abstract: . In piezoelectric vibrators of circular configuration (disks and rings), the eigenmodes of axisymmetric oscillations, starting from the second eigenmode (at overtones), have nodal points in the form of concentric circles [3-10]. As a result of the emergence of tension and compression zones, the efficiency of the electromechanical coupling decreases. In order to avoid such a drawback, it was proposed [6] to cut the electrode coating along concentric circles. Published theoretical studies in this direction do not provide sufficient information for the analysis of this phenomenon, which is why the research presented in this article was conducted. The influence of azimuthal sections of the electrode coating on the frequencies and shapes of oscillations of piezoelectric ring plates, which are polarized along the thickness, was studied.
