Abstract: In the article, methods for car plate symbols segmentation on the basis of comparison to models of arrangement of symbols are considered. The offered methods for comparison allow to consider distortions in position of symbols connected with perspective differences and also to increase quality of segmentation of symbols in images with partial shadowing of a car plate.
