Abstract: The main idea of this study is a model of disease as a multistage compartment process. The used approach is based on time assessment spent by a person (patient) at each stage. The main distributions associated with the time the patient stays at certain stages of the disease, i.e. exponential, Weibull, Gompertz, Gompertz-Makeham, are studied.
