Abstract: The problem of identification of hand configuration on an image for Ukrainian Sign language is studied in this paper. To solve the problem a method Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) is suggested to be used since it is one of the most effective and rapid of the present-day algorithms. The obtained experimental results showed a fairly high efficiency of the method for identification of dactyl signs.
