Abstract: This paper deals with the problems of distance and continuing education. Based on the given review of existing information systems for training and on study of models for information systems, which are accessible through the Internet, the scheme of the block of distance learning module in the model of the learning process is proposed in the paper. This allows taking into account the flexibility of e-learning and the opportunity to work in asynchronous mode with different methods of presentation of training materials. The investigation and analysis of techniques, ideas, technologies and algorithms of distance education is made.
