Abstract: The Lanczos τ-method algorithm of solving the multipoint boundary-value problem for linear differential equations of order k with polynomial coefficients is developed in the article. The polynomial of order n is computed by this algorithm in the computer algebra systems. We proved the equivalence of this algorithm to the V. K. Dzyadyk a-method algorithm. The research results of the a-method prove the solution existence for the initial problem by the algorithm, the convergence of these solutions sequence (with the increase of the algorithm parameter n) to the exact boundary-value problem solution, the exact and constitutive estimates a priori and a posteriori in the spaces C[a,b], C^k [a,b].
