Abstract: The problem of tool wear modeling using acoustic signals is investigated. The packet wavelet transform as the main mathematical tool for the task of acoustic signal processing is proposed to use. The multi-layer and fuzzy neural networks for the task of tool wear modeling are used. The optimal neuronet structure is investigated.
