Abstract: This article discusses the results obtained by combining the artificial neural network and the sequential predictive probability methods. Two sets of actual field data are discussed. In each example, the artificial neural network program was used to identify different reservoir flow regimes. Then, initial estimates of reservoir parameters were made and used as initial guesses in the sequential predictive probability program.
