Abstract: In the article a mathematical model of an intellectual reading system of a perforated code for leather industry was developed. This system takes into account peculiarities of leather at all times of the processing and provides accuracy of the code read from leather by means of choice of the best variant of highlighting (on lightening or occultation of code apertures).
