Abstract: The article describes the knowledge of cognitive psychology on the primary information processing in the visual system. A mathematical description of this knowledge by using fuzzy models (model ganglion cells, cells of the model lateral geniculate nucleus, cells of a model primary visual cortex is entered). The results of applying these models to solve problem of line localization in text are presented.
