Abstract: This paper deals with the perspectives of new approach to the common problem of multidimensional data of collection, transmission, processing and analysis. The main idea is related with the soft computing principles and aims the MIQ updating according the main propositions of Information Granulation Theory, proposed by L. Zadeh. The new kind of soft computing operations (computing with shapes) is proposed and used for satellite color images representation in compact form.
