Abstract: Introduction of sectoral m-weight for discrete contour curvature estimation is proposed. A technique based on adaptive curve simplification and curvature sectoral m-estimation is developed for fast construction of curvature scale-space descriptors for image contours. Developed technique provides ability to control the robustness of curvature estimation against rapidness of CSS descriptor construction, which is very important for real-time computer vision systems.
