Abstract: A hierarchical scheme of analysis, which calculates characteristics of one level is carried out on the basis of the previous level, an algorithm for computing the 3D characteristics of CT images based on connected component is also described here. It brings reduced computational cost compared to the traditional «volumetric» scanning.
