Abstract: In this paper a method for building the partition surfaces based on genetic algorithms, is proposed. The developed way of separating the feature space into classes makes it possible to choose the polynomials describing the dividing curves with optimal complexity. Efficiency of this method is confirmed by industrial data. The given results open the possibility of rapid technical diagnosis and finding the separate nodes of the gas pumping unit with the critical level of vibration, thus enabling its trouble-free operation.
