Abstract: In this paper the results of the investigation of several tasks arising in design of biometric systems based on iris recognition are presented. We is a new two-level approach to iris code calculation. Three measures for iris code comparison were analyzed suggested. Investigations were conducted on iris images with high resolution (with iris radius about 500 and 1000 pixels), and on the available image database with standard resolution CASIA-Iris-V3-Lamp (with iris radius about 90-110 pixels).
