Abstract: In order to improve the relevance of the Web information retrieval the knowledge about users’whsch is information needs reflected in the description of some intelligent problem and thesaurus is proposed to use. It allows to make the assumptions about thematic proximity of Web information resources to the domain pertinent to user’s problem.
