Abstract: In the paper, we discuss the problems which arise during the modeling of the metadata used for describing various pieces of statistical information. We concretize the well-known model of statistical business processes, and propose a novel semeiotic metadata model. Both models take into account aspects of providing statistical information depersonalization and confidentiality, and also its protection against the disclosure by means of data mining methods.
